Savannah Bettin and Tim Fitzpatrick teach general music at DES.
Students have two 30-minute general music classes each week.
Each grade level prepares and performs a music program each year with music of varying styles and genres.
3rd and 4th grade students learn to play the recorder- a simple, 8-hole woodwind instrument.
4th graders have the opportunity to begin orchestra,
playing the violin, viola, cello, or bass.
